Mike Kleis is the owner of Renaissance Executive Forums Iowa. Mike started his first CEO Peer Groups in 2010 and works with business owners and CEOs to help them reach their personal and professional goals.
Mike is known as a Facilitator, a Simplifier and a Connector. He is a big believer in supporting local small businesses and has built a reputation of someone you can go to for the challenges leaders face. Mike and his family live in the Pella, IA area and has been a part of the local community most of his adult life.
Mike Kleis has over 30 years of broad business experience in Strategy Development, Business Planning, Process Improvement, Marketing, Sales & Distribution Management, as well as, Customer Service, Operations and Product Management. He has an extensive background in building and leading cross-functional teams to bring strategies and business concepts to life. He crafted and re-engineered go-to-market strategies and distribution models for fledgling and stagnant business segments to deliver double-digit share growth, while improving profitability and customer satisfaction.
Mike previously served as Director of Retail Replacement Business for Pella Corporation, a world-class manufacturer and marketer of high quality windows and doors and leader in lean and six sigma manufacturing. In his role, Mike was responsible for the start up and on-going operation of a new business segment providing turn-key window and door replacement solutions for homeowners. Under his direction, new business processes were developed for lead generation, sales, order fulfillment and customer service culminating in Pella being recognized as #1 in customer satisfaction by J.D. Power & Associates. In addition, he pioneered the execution of lean sigma practices in marketing and sales, at Pella, to generate improved marketing efficiency and year over year sales productivity gains.
